Often times, my brain is blank when it comes to writing new blog posts. My fingers never get around to typing more than a 'The' every other day. To compensate, I decided to sit and write out 25 Blog Post Ideas in under 5 minutes.

one year of blogging gone.
and how did it go?
It was alright.
2016 wasn't perfect but it was alright. Apart from a few, long schedule slips and less-than-stellar blog posts. Despite them, I did find a few gems as I scrolled through old posts. Some I forgot I wrote, and others I remember with joy. I thought I would share those gems with you.
In no particular order, here are my favourite blog posts in 2016.

I should know. I am a blogger. And most likely, you.
Since you're reading this. Whether curiosity, or information or just a leisurely reading. Blogging can get difficult during difficult times. There are much more important things to focus on than long-winded posts or keeping in touch with other blogs. So to ease me through, I found a few sites that help me through these times.

I kept my blog private for the first year, refusing to announce it to my friends and family. Occasional posts pop once in a blue moon. An embarrassing beauty article with poor photography and unedited writing. These posts have disappeared. Purged to enact a new phase.
That said, H E Y B A S H improved by its second year. Scrolling through old posts reminds me of all the lessons learned. If I were to now these tips when I was starting out, perhaps I wouldn't have to delete those posts.
So here are 5 Things I Wish I Knew Before Starting A Blog!
So I celebrated my one year blog anniversary last week with a wonderfully long snooze and a big glass of a non-alcoholic beverage. Feeling nostalgic, I decided to read my old blog posts from last year. It was a decision I regretted almost immediately. My lips pursed with contempt as I continued reading my cringe-worthy content.
After a night of oh-so-sad lament, I thought of what I should have done instead. What I would say to Past-Me who has never blogged before on how to improve her blog. Short Answer: Many, many, many things. But these are my top five.
Here are some things I wish I knew when I began blogging.
