And Selamat Hari Raya!

Chomping on food, meeting old friends and making awkward conversation with family. There's truly nothing like Eid. Hence why I love it so dear. My favourite part is getting ready. Able to dress my best, and slather makeup without hassle. For this year, I thought I would share a few looks. Best for the festive season but easy for beginners.

Here are my #5Looks4Eid!

'SHWEN doesn't wear makeup,' she tells me repeatedly as I apply her eyeshadow. My friends and I jokingly suggest she's too 'badass' for all glitters and glow. So for Shwen, I created a light and natural look. Taking only10 minutes, excluding brows and complaints.

     |   Urban Decay Electric Palette in Fringe
     |   Elise Eyelashes in No. 4699
     |   Anastasia Beverly Hills Gleam Kit in Mimosa
     |   NYX HD Blush in Terra Cotta
     |   Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer in Deep/Tan
     |   MAC Lip Liner in Spice
     |   Silky Girl Moisture Rich Lipstick in No. 19 Sexy

My sister, SYASYA, joins me for this tutorial. With my mother's almond eyes, I decided to create a bold winged liner. A green-blue shadow looks best against her sweet tan and I did just that. Hopefully now, she'll learn how to apply eyeliner herself. Instead of asking me every time.

Wearing Monochromatic Makeup is a great way to look flawless, just by sheer colour theory. I applied this theory for ZIQAH. Using the different shades of one colour helps the makeup feel more put together. Hence why I like to keep golds and browns together. Creating an almost effortless look.

Sometimes I weep over how beautiful I find ROSE. Her large round eyes and sharp features made smokey winged liner almost perfect. It provided enough drama to focus on her eyes. Once blended out, the liner would be subtle and still attractive.

Last and most likely least, I went for an incredibly simple look. Focusing on creating soft pinks on my face. By focusing on pinks, blush-highlight-eyes, it creates a feminine touch through the various shades. Usually, I go for golds but pinks are just as fine.

Advantages of having a multinational friend group. I wanted a wider range of models for these looks. Hence why I called and begged them to be a part of this series. To show diversity in Eid celebrations, as it's always fun to dress up and feel nice.

Thanks so much for E'fekt Media House for producing these videos. And a huge thanks to my models for spending their Friday filming.

Selamat Hari Raya & Happy Eid Mubarak!
