An ingot of a man.You rise from rooftops and build bridges from scrap. A hero to us all but only for me. My invulnerable man. You claimed to have saved me. From the clanging creatures in cities you created. So you abandoned me amongst these desolate trees and forsaken leaves.
"It will be okay." Your cold whispers shivered my skin. I leaned against your malleable touch, painted gold by the sun but copper in my eyes. Your obsidian stare held mine. So you can say, "I will always be here."
But then you turned to rust. For your iron-clad heart and brass knuckles, corroded against my saline tears.

I had the pleasure of having a photoshoot with Mujahid Johar this week. A photoshoot we rescheduled three times in one week. Finally we did! We were able to capture these amazing shots!
The location and its aesthetic remained a mystery until the day. So I had to rush through figuring out an outfit. Only aware that it was 'industrial' and 'desolate.' I begged my friend to style an outfit together. It consisted of pieces I've already featured. She picked my Cat Hat worn many, many times and this graphic tee also worn many times. The Ripped Boyfriend Jeans to add style in my closet and Prada heels to add class. 'Geek chic' as she called it.
I had an absolute blast taking photos with him! Even if I was sweating so much my foundation started to run. Which it did. Even if the terrain proved to be an enemy for heels. Which it was. Even if we had hopped over rusted sheers and broken glass. Which we did.
Oh, the lengths we trudge over for good photos.
Johar is a fantastic photographer. He has an eye-catching aesthetic and the rare ability to see the world how others don't. You can check out his portfolio on his Instagram or on his website.
How far have you gone to take a good photo?
