At least I do. On the days you want to feel prettier than you already are, makeup is available. Patting faces in powders and carefully curated liner and lashes. In only two hours, you go from a bare three to a solid 7.5. Self-esteem levels explode without any prior confidence necessary.

So in my first Youtube tutorial, I decide to amp up a simple look for those 'once-in-a-while' pretty days. Excuse my bare naked face.

F A C E :

I start by applying MAC Prep & Prime Fix+ all over my face then priming my face using NARS Light Optimizing Primer. I colour-correct my dark circles using Catrice Ultimate Colour Lipstick in 050 Princess Peach and All-Round Concealer in Salmon.

Then applying my Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation in Shade 2.0 and Naked Skin Concealer in Fair Neutral & Light Warm all over. I'll be setting everything with Essence All About Matt Compact Powder.

Taking TheBalm Mary-Lou Manizer, I highlight the highest points of my face. I apply Sephora Blush in Romantic Rose on tops of my cheekbones and NYX HD Blush in Taupe underneath. I sweep Too Faced Dark Chocolate Soleil Bronzer in Deep/Tan lightly since it's too dark.

B R O W S   &   E Y E S :

For brows, I'm currently NYX Eyebrow Gel in Espresso to create and Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder DUO in Dark Brown to fill. Then setting everything with Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel.

Applying MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre as a base, I tightline with Essence Kajal Eye Pencil in 01 Black and line the waterline using NYX Wonder Pencil in 01 Light. I put on Urban Decay Naked Basics in Walk Of Shame on the lid and blend TheBalm Nude 'Tude Palette in Sultry into the crease and bottom rim. I finish by highlight the browbone and inner corner with TheBalm Mary-Lou Manizer.

Creating a thin line with Cezanne Black Eyeliner and a small flick before applying NYX Full Figured Mascara. As a final touch, I put apply E.Asbellah False Lashes in Jasmine from @ellyasbellah as it finishes the whole look.

L I P S :

I went with brown lips today. I lined my lips with Catrice Longlasting Lip Liner in 20 Hey Macadamia Ahey. Afterwards, I applied MN Liquid Lipstick in No. 30 from @belleparis. And then done!

This is officially my first Youtube tutorial.

My mind is imploding. I cross my fingers and hope to come across passable enough as a beauty person on the internet. With the exception of a perfectly messy bun, symmetrical face and confidence. Which I assume is just innate in the YouTube girls' genetic code.

There are definitely a few things I'll have to tweak. Specifically lighting, since my ringlight is too yellow. I filmed in wrong dimensions and exporting the video gave me problems as well. Still, I'm quite happy with the overall output, especially with my background since it took a week to set up. 'Expertise comes with age' and 'you'll get better soon' as I've been told.

Though, I wouldn't mind if it was instantaneous either.

So what do you think? What other tutorials would you like to see?
