Hi.

I've missed you. Did you miss me?

I did not expect the break to last a month, and what a month it has been. A lot has happened in just one month span.  Exams are over yet stress is still high, life still tiring and still too busy. I am unsure if I can consider these past three weeks as a break, when half the time I thought of what post to do next month, or what photos to take. In layman’s terms, I miss blogging, I miss doing things.

Blogging gave me structure and achievable tasks when I desperately needed them. While they were people who made it difficult, I am happy where I am now. I don't know if I can update you in just one post but I'll try.

So here is my November!

Doing | Shows! Shows that ended and shows that should have happened. I recently played Desdemona in my school's production of Othello. We only had a week of rehearsals, in the Lecture Hall but we pulled it off. I was also a crew member of a production that has been postponed indefinitely. Which leaves me both frustrated and relieved.

Watching | Marvel's Jessica Jones is a feminist masterpiece. I just finished the third episode, and hoping to move on to the fourth episode on the plane. I prefer Jessica Jones over Daredevil, which I finished in three days after my last exam. This is my life now, binge-watching while binge-eating. I'm not complaining, just stating.

Listening | Nothing in particular. I'm not that adventurous with my music taste or involved in the music scene.

Loving | I chopped my hair off again. Shaved the sides and called it a day. Responses have ranged from 'You look like a boy!' to '...Again? Really?' At this point, it's no longer an act of defiance but of practicality. Also coolness, because this haircut is the only thing I've got that is cool about me. That and my exceptionally killer dance moves.

Making | A teddy bear. A rigorous knitting project that took over two weeks. It was for my friend's birthday, that I had to rush since it was a week overdue. While he did love it, I still wish I took more time. Arms overstuffed, legs understuffed and big ears. Oh well, it's the thought that counts.

Planning | A lot of things actually. During this long hiatus, I planned some blog stuff which I hope will bear fruit. We'll see if I'll actually manage to do all since I'm leaving in less than 24 hours. Yes. Apart from writing posts and taking photos, I'm packing and cleaning. In short, I'm going to Japan tomorrow. And I am so unprepared, as the empty suitcase highlights.

Reading | With exams over and done with, I am finally able to read some books. Since exams have killed my reading life, I only managed to read only 21 books instead of the planned 52. Disappointing from a girl who once won her secondary school's reading competition, reading 245 books in a year. So trying to hit 30, I'm reading David Levithan's The Realm of Possibility.

So yes! The hiatus is over! At least I hope. As I've just said, I'm going to Japan in less than 24 hours. Wow, I'm absolutely terrible at strategic planning and scheduling. With that said, I won't disappear like I have last month. I'll actually try to blog, and respond to comments and engage in a community I miss. I feel like everyone is doing something new, and I'm as confused as ever. Help me figure out what's going on.

Up until the 15th, I'll be traveling around Japan and seeing sights and capturing moments. If you'd like to see what's going on, feel free to follow me on Bloglovin or Instagram!

So how was your November? Slow and steady or busy like a bee? I'd love to know!

  5. Yay for being back! I hope exams went well for you - we're actually having ours in a couple of weeks so stress is high around here. A trip to Japan sounds like a great way to end the year, and I'm excited to see all your photos!

I had no idea you did theatre - how cool! I worked backstage on one play a few years ago, and it was so much work. Definitely worth it though when you get to hear the applause and make a quick bow!

  16. Such a great catch up post! Who's life doesn't consist of binge-watching everything?! That's the only think I don't miss about my pixie...people telling you you look like a boy. I also hated when people would tell me that boys wouldn't like me because my hair was short. boo.. I am trying so hard to grow my hair out, but it's hard when I see adorable pixie cuts!
