Beauty | Daily Skincare Routine

A few people requested a daily skincare routine. It's been long requested since I started this blog. My normal-dry skin doesn't have any exceptional problems. On most days, it's clear and clean with dark circles and milia that I keep in check.

My mother forced me to follow a skincare regime when I was 12, and I've continued since. I thank her for good genetics and insistence on skincare. She kept my skin clear with three essentials; cleanser, toner, moisturizer. I've expanded my routine since then.

So if you'd like to know what products I use, then keep reading on!

Nivea Refreshing Cleansing Foam | I've used this cleanser for years now. Though there have other cleansers, I always got back to this cleansing foam. I always feel refreshed after use. It does leave the skin tight and a little dry, since it is foam. This tingly feeling disappears once I apply my moisturizer.

Garnier Pure Active Multi-Action Scrub | Yes, it is for acne-prone skin. No, I don't have acne but I do have milia. Little raised bumps around my forehead, sides of my nose and under eyes. Since the scrub contains salicylic acid, it keeps the bumps at bay. I use the scrub twice a week. Well, if I can remember.

Bio-Essence Hydra Tri-Action Aqua Refreshing Toner | What a fantastic toner. Hydrating, refreshing and just a wonderful toner all around. I love looking at the dirt on the cotton pad. I wish I could control how much liquid gets out though. Sometimes, it just drenches the cotton pad to the point I can't use it.

OXY 5 Pimple Medication Cream | I use this product only when my milia arises or when I discover a pimple. Which is admittedly rare. Perhaps once a year or so. (If you desire to throw mud in my face, join the others) This lotion does clear the breakout but does dry the skin on occasion.

Tarte Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment | Easily the most expensive product in my routine, and easily my favourite. It leaves my eyelids and under eye moisturised, which is required after I wear thick eye makeup. It also brightens my dark circles. They don't vanish but I don't look like a zombie. Problem? It finishes too darn quickly.

Nivea Pure & Natural Moisturising Day Cream | This is my second tub this year. This moisturiser is thick and takes a while to settle into the skin. It does what it says it could and more. It's moisturizing and keeps the face feeling nice and well.

Garnier Sakura White Night Cream | It's soft and creamy, and leaves a cooling sensation. A night cream said to lighten and brighten the skin which does. Sometimes, I hesitate to admit I use this. It's one of the few good night creams found but derives from deep, ingrained shadism in Asia. But that's another post for another time.

Guardian Sun Protection Face & Body Mist SPF 50 | Your run in the mill sunscreen. It's okay, and there's nothing special. It's affordable, and easy to use. In all honesty though, I'm just trying to empty it. I might as well find a moisturizer with SPF, than use this.

Wow. I slap a lot of product on my face.

I'm only eighteen and apply eight products on my face on a regular basis. Yes, it can be argued that this is to keep my skin clear and controlled. But even I was surprised when I collected them all to take these photos.

Stop it Bash, stop.

So what products do you have in your skincare routine? I'd love to know!
