Five Beauty Confessions

I have a confession to make. Life has been busy lately with work, school and fasting. So I didn’t check my blog until a few days ago. When I checked my analytics, I realised I hit 200 followers on bloglovin! Woo!

I'm dancing my happy dance right now. Which I can assure you, looks like a frigid seal waddling in one position as a fish hops in its flippers. I'm a terribly awkward dancer, that can't even do the Chicken Dance.

So I decided that I should confess a few secrets of mine before we can continue on this blogging journey together.

Here are my five beauty confessions…

Bronzer Hater | I hate them. I don't like these shimmery orange powders on my face. I'll use it on clients, but I won't use it on myself. I know some people swear by it, but I prefer the 'never goes out in the sun, pale goth girl' look.

Virgin Brows | No wax, no shave, no pluck. Never have I ever done anything to these sparse but surprisingly messy brows. I have no intention of cleaning them up yet, even though there are stray hairs everywhere.

Sharing Mascara | Even I disgust myself. It's not intentional, I swear. My sister, my mother and I share mascara when (and only when) our own personal mascaras have dried out. So, I always try and buy a new product as soon as a mascara shows signs of drying out.

Skincare Sadness | I found out the importance of having a good skincare routine through trial and error. At 14, I experimented with an obsessive routine that ruined my skin then. Though I’ve solved most of the problems, it’s left some milia that I keep under check and a green, sickly tone to my skin that has yet to go away.

Stained Swatches | I have a tendency to watch products on my hand, and just leave them there. They could stay for days before I remember to wash them off. Eyeliners, eyeshadows, lipsticks. One person thought a cherry red lip stain was blood once.

I hope you will stay my friend after knowing all these beauty sins I have committed.
