Currently | June 05

I can't believe half the year has already passed. Not because it feels so short, but because it feels so long. It felt like June would never end. I'm a little disappointed that it did. 

What May was as big unadulterated bag of burning dog poop, June was the extinguisher that put it out. Overall, it was a good month. 

So here is what I've been doing in June!

Doing | Oh look homework! That I've been forgetting on purpose since the dawn of time. I'm one of those masochists who enjoys studying but doesn't. So now, I have mounds of homework I'll have to get through. Excuse me while I get my third cup of late night coffee.

Watching | Orange is The New Black. I love this series and its portrayal of realistic women in a tough environment. I'm only halfway through but the third season is becoming my favourite. It's hilarious, witty and incredible enjoyable!

Listening | Thanks to Meg, I am obsessed with Melanie Martinez. Pity Party and her other songs, Dollhouse in particular, are stuck in my head. It's the faux cute, mildly psychotic melody of her songs that just grabs my attention. It's sickly sweet yet oddly melancholic.

Loving | The Last Time We Say Goodbye by Cynthia Hand! I raved it in my review and I still cannot stop praising! It's such a beautiful book by a relatively unknown author (who favorited a my tweet, score!) that deserves so much recognition. It's just too good.

Making | Makeup posts that I've been neglecting. This started as a Beauty Blog(-ish) so I've been trying to get back to my roots and write up more beauty related posts. Especially since Eid is coming up which means mo' makeup, mo' problems...That's how the song goes, right?

Planning | A lot of things. I've been discussing with some people to help update this little ol' blog of mine. One of these things planned is moving to WordPress and switching a few things up later in the year. Which might be closer than you think. 

Reading | I am out of my reading funk! Yes! I've read We Were Liars by E. Lockhart, It by Alexa Chung, Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me (and Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling, Bossy Pants by Tina Fey, Love & Misadventures by Lang Leav. Going through Why We Broke Up by Daniel Handler, I'm one-third in and it is...meh.

And that was my June! 

Long, tiring and just the way I liked it. It was a good month for me, keeping me busy with work or school. Sure, I come to both half-asleep but doesn't everyone? I like being engaged. It means like don't have time to waddle over small, irrelevant things like feelings.
