I haven't updated my blog in a week. There was a time in my life that once a week was considered an achievement but now I feel terrible. I shouldn't be too hard on myself though, I just got back from Singapore last night at midnight. My legs aching and my brain exhausted, I had little time to blog. As soon as I fell into my bed, the sandman struck and nothing else mattered.
Here is what I've been doing in April lately!
Doing | Unpacking luggage is a cruel necessity. Everything is scattered on the living room floor, becoming a large pile of mess. So instead of cleaning up and making the room as nice as it was this morning, I am procrastinating by writing this blog post. I have to get my priorities straight one of these days.
Watching | Game of Thrones. Game of Thrones! GAME OF THRONES. Who doesn't watch Game of Thrones? Everyone loves Game of Thrones. It's the first season that I don't know what's going to happen, since I've only read the first three books. I can't wait to see what else is going to happen in Westeros. House Martell/Targaryen for the win!
Listening | My friend introduced me to Nothing But Thieves, a relatively unknown band who's music is as exciting as it is amorous. I'm getting their EP as I type. They covered of Bonnie Tyler's I Need A Hero and it is just so beautiful. Imagine Dragon's I'm So Sorry is impeccable. I think I've been in a raging rocker mood this past few weeks. I'm not sorry.
Loving | The Singapore field trip! I miss it so much. In just three days, we did so much from walking to shopping to visiting the sights. It's not my first time in Singapore, but I experienced Singapore more this time than any other. The Leonardo Da Vinci exhibit, Singapore Royal Theatre's The Tempest, Universal Studios. Just amazing.
Making | Essays. Essays. Essays. I have so many essay plans just waiting for me to write. Mentally-stimulating but still the more exhausting. A mantra is developing, 'Essays for As. Essays for As. Essays for As.' Call me an overachiever, but I enjoy getting good grades and working for it. It's a simple pleasure of life. If only I get it more.
Planning | Since exams are just around the corner, I am planning all my posts for May early. Which is a new for me as I post on the spot. I've been taking and editing photos in advance, typing up posts and scheduling them. Some people like doing this but I've never. While it is helpful, I'll just have to see if it is enjoyable.
Reading | I've been neglecting my reading this month. I think I only read Love Letters To The Dead and Image Comics' Saga Volume 1. Fortunately, I did read Chimamanda Adichie's We Should All Be Feminists on the airplane back. It's a short adapted from her TEDx Talk that I love. It's a beautiful and inspiring and sums up perfectly why we should all be feminists.
I used to be completely addicted to Game of Thrones but I only watched the first three seasons and after that the stories just got too complicated haha.
