Isn't this something new?
With A Levels coming and the months getting busier and busier as I look at my calender, I wanted to collect my thoughts and activities. So I decided to compile what I've been doing the past month as a blog post! Perhaps I should I have done this in January but February provides stability. January is when you're settling in, February is when the year actually begins.
So here's my February!
Doing | For the two weeks and a half, I have been re-organizing everything! Files, books, shelves, anything! It has been exhilarating. I like to pretend that I am an organized person. Most things in my room are organized extensively well. All my school binders are in order, I have planners for many things from fitness to money to a Bad Idea Book. I've also completed re-organizing my bookshelf!

Watching Parks and Recreation! The finale happened this week, and I was sobbing through it all. I miss it already! I miss chubby (and not-chubby) Chris Pratt, the joyful Aubrey Plaza, and Amy Poehler! Oh, Amy... I miss all the colourful characters that I will never see again. So I've been going on a TV marathon since Season 3 (because Season 1 and 2 do not exist).

Listening | Right now, Newsies is blasting through my ears. The musical is fantastic and just reminds me of Old Broadway. It's complete energy in a recording. With that said, The Last Five Years (Off-Broadway Revival)'s soundtrack is fresh in my head. I've been listening to it since the movie came out. The songs are so depressingly beautiful and haunting. What can I say? I'm a musical girl.
Loving It's been a week sine I've read the book but The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood is still on my mind! This fantastic speculative fiction is my introduction to feminist literature. It is about a woman forced to be a 'womb on legs' in a dystopian future. I can't say much else because mentioning anything else would spoilers. Please, just read the book. (Don't watch the awful movie)
Making | Many will say it's absurd how organized and detailed I like life to be but it's going to get even more absurd. Recently, I've been making a Blog Binder and a Knitting Planner. A Blog Binder will help me organize more efficiently and a Knitting Planner because there are too many pattern to knit up. Pinterest wasn't cutting it for me and I love hard copies of everything. Everything.

Planning I'm preparing for a Model UN as I type. Delegate of Turkey for Human Rights. Which means for the past month, I've been gathering information regarding human rights and Turkey's relations to it. Pretty darn interesting if I do say so myself. The actual event won't start until next Friday which is insane in my opinion. Sometimes, I feel like I'm not planning enough.

Reading | I just finished Sophia Amoruso's #GIRLBOSS and started reading To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han. Sophia Amoruso's debut book is great! I'll be posting a review on it very soon. In general, it is a perfect book for entrepreneurs looking for tips and tricks whilst still being connected to its roots. I'm a quarter into Jenny Han's novel, her writing is impeccable!
This post is just me admitting I'm a full-on dork, and I love it. I love organizing, I love reading and I just love doing. So what have you been doing this past February? I hope yours was great!

  13. Sounds like you've had a wonderful February and been very productive! I have to say, I'm pretty jealous that you have time to read for fun. I used to love reading, but since starting law school I haven't had time to really read just because I want to! I'm looking forward to picking up a good book once I finish up in April :)

  26. I NEED a copy of Parks and Recreation! :( I can only enjoy the show by looking at GIFs and a few video clips on Tumblr. Haha. Now that it's already finished, I think it would be easier for me to enjoy the episodes continuously and have a TV series marathon.

I read To All The Boys I've Loved Before and I even though some parts irked me, I'm still looking forward to reading its sequel and to know the ending of the Lara's love story. Happy reading, Bash! xx
