Brunei's 31st National Day

 

Happy 31st National Day!

23rd February is Brunei Darussalam's National Day. As a Bruneian citizen, it is my duty to celebrate in anyway I could. Which I concluded was to paint my lips as the Bruneian flag, because I cannot do much else.

Lips are so difficult to do. You always have to be consistently careful. You think they look nice even if you examine very, very closely. Then you take the pictures and start cringing once you view the actually photos. Zooming in on your face accentuates the flaws that you never thought you had until now.

With that said, it was an absolute delight to paint the flag! It was my first time doing lip art of the sort, and I loved how it turned out. I would have put the emblem but it is way too small and too detailed.
