Isn't this something new?
With A Levels coming and the months getting busier and busier as I look at my calender, I wanted to collect my thoughts and activities. So I decided to compile what I've been doing the past month as a blog post! Perhaps I should I have done this in January but February provides stability. January is when you're settling in, February is when the year actually begins.
So here's my February!

Haul | February Books

I'm incredibly happy about the number of books I've read so far. Though it's just seven to nine books so far, I love that I have been slowly reconnecting with my inner bookworm. One of my regrets last year and the year-before was that I didn't read enough books. My focus was on other things, thus I neglected reading and writing.

I want this year to change that and I think it's going well. To celebrate, I got a few books this month that I intend to read soon. Four books may not seem like much but buying books are expensive for a self-employed (jobless) teenager. #GIRLBOSS itself was $45. Excuse me while I wipe my tears with a receipt.

So anyway, here are the books!

Brunei's 31st National Day

Happy 31st National Day!

23rd February is Brunei Darussalam's National Day. As a Bruneian citizen, it is my duty to celebrate in anyway I could. Which I concluded was to paint my lips as the Bruneian flag, because I cannot do much else.

Haul | Quick Picks

It's been a long time since I brought a few products.
I spent most of spending money on yarn and food. However, I did pick up some makeup products on my way to celebrate my sister's O Level results a week. Nothing of particular interest, just those that took my eye.
These are all Essence and Catrice products because I went to only one store and I could trust their products as cheap but high-quality (most of the time)

Happy Singles Awareness' Day!

(A week too late)

It isn't Valentine's Day because romantic relationship between two human beings should not be dictated by one commercial holiday created as an excuse to sell novelty chocolate. With that said, if anyone would provide me chocolate, I'd be happy to receive.

So for Single Awareness' Day, I made a tutorial inspired by all the pink surrounding us. This eye look is great for every occasion whether for a date on SAD or you just want to feel cute that day. It's simple, sweet and says: 'Hey sweetheart, I took too much time blending for you.'

Anyway, here is the tutorial!

Books | Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

“To really be a nerd, she'd decided, you had to prefer fictional worlds to the real one.” - Rainbow Rowell

Rating ||  4/5

Fangirl had been sitting on my shelf for almost year before I picked it up to read. I had low expectations for this book despite the praise from almost everyone on the internet. Rainbow Rowell's much-acclaimed Eleanor & Park was disappointing in my opinion. So I wasn't exactly looking forward to reading Fangirl. My initial thoughts were that Fangirl would be a filler book to pass the time (much like Eleanor & Park).
Thankfully, I was happily surprised.

OOTD | Sweet Viridescent

I have been incredibly sick these past few days. The rainy season has brought its terrible diseases along including the flu. Since Thursday, I've been coughing and sneezing. I spent my Friday with a ball in my throat and a pit in my stomach. So naturally, I went to lunch with my grandmother the next day. I felt horrible, but I looked wonderful! Well, as wonderful as I could.

Knits | Grey Oversize Hipster Hat

On a usual day, I read, knit and drink tea. This routine has kept me sane throughout life and I don't intend on stopping. After all, it does provide me some great hand-knitted things like this over-sized hipster hat.
